Who am I?
Hi! I am Philip Newberry, a quadruple amputee that desires to share Jesus, encourage and motivate others to overcome adversity and live their best life.
I was not born this way, as a 2 year old I got spinal meningitis and the only way to save my life was to amputate part of both arms and legs right below the knee.
As I grew, I overcame many physical obstacles and had to navigate life in a different way than “normal” people. I learned to do many things such as, rollerblade, play the drums, golf and even drive a car.
The physical struggles were not the hardest parts of my life. In 2004 the most difficult part of my life began, addiction. My substance abuse would almost cost me everything. This eventually lead to my salvation in Jesus. As I grew in Him, He instilled in me a passion to share my story and encourage others with my life verse: Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.”
